Gold
Golds are the largest dragon in Canon Pern. She is the mother of all dragons, being the only female able to lay eggs. She Impresses heterosexual females with a strong will and leadership potential. The Gold lays between 10 and 40 eggs depending on the Bronze or Brown that catches her in Flight. Clutch size also depends on length of the Flight. She is 38 to 42 feet in length with a wingspan of 63 to 70 feet. The woman she Impresses becomes a Senior Weyrwoman or Junior Weyrwoman. She is dark amber to pale, yellow gold in color and is flown by Bronzes and the rare Brown.
If she mates with a Bronze she can produce all of the canon colors. If she mates with a Brown she can only produce Bronzes down.
Bronze
Bronzes are the largest male dragon in Canon Pern. He is arrogant, cunning, and decisive. A strong flier, he requires a lot of endurance to catch a Gold in Flight. He Impresses heterosexual males with leadership potential and he may hold any position other than Weyrwoman. He Flies Golds and Greens, though some Greens may be too fast and agile for him. His color can vary from a dark, tarnished bronze to a light, almost washed out bronze. He is 35 to 38 feet in length with a wingspan of 58 to 63 feet.
Brown
The Brown is the middle child, his hide ranging from a dark, deep mud color to a pale, milk chocolate color. He's smaller than the Bronze, but larger than the Blue and has the ability to be Wingsecond, Wingthird, and Wingleader. These guys are usually pretty calm and stable, though occasionally a hyper one will come along and keep the weyr on its toes. They fly Greens and the rare Gold, though if they pair with a Gold, the most they can hope for is a small Bronze out of that clutch. Call them the glue that keeps everything in order. They Impress heterosexual men, the occasional homosexual man, and the very rare homosexual woman. He is 30 to 35 feet in length with a wingspan of 50-58 feet.
Blue
The Blue is the smallest male in Canon Pern and he can come in all of the imaginable colors of blue imaginable. He is larger than the Green, but smaller than the Brown and flies Greens. He is also capable of Searchriding. The Blue Impresses the homosexual and heterosexual male and female. He ranges 25 to 30 feet in length with a wingspan of 42 to 50 feet.
Green
The Green is the smallest dragon in Pern and one of the most common. The Green has the ability to Search and she is usually flirty and flighty. They don't really have deep thoughts. She is flown by Bronzes, Browns, and Blues though she may be too fast for the Bronzes. She doesn't have a lot of stamina but she can put on amazing bursts of speed. The Green Impresses heterosexual, homosexual, and bisexual men. She also impresses heterosexual and bisexual women. She is 20 to 25 feet in length with a wingspan of 33 to 42 feet.

Crimson
Crimsons are a dark red, often with nearly black shades somewhere on them. The brightest they will ever get is a medium red. they are very large, male, and stubborn in personality. They do what they want the way they want. Impress heterosexual or mostly heterosexual males. They mostly Impress someone who either needs their stubborn, steady personality thanks to their own unstable mental or emotional state, or someone with a dangerous talent or talents that they can nullify. That is their talent, nullifying mental powers like Telepathy and Pyrokinesis. The farther away a target is the harder it is for them to stop them from using their power, but in a small room they could blanket say, five people near them, maybe as many as ten, but usually they only nullify something when it is dangerous. They can fly Creams, Golds, Coppers, and Citrines. They are mature at two turns and three months, minimum, though they
reach full growth at two turns. From Dorado Weyr.
Cream
Creams have an average size exactly between a Crimson and a Silver, with overlap to each. A small Cream and a large Silver might be the same size, or a large cream and a small Crimson. They are white or some shade of off white, sometimes with the faint tint of other colors on wings or body - neck, tail, and legs will not be tinted. They will always have a metallic gleam to their hide, whatever the shade. They can make what is best described as "nightmare realities" – though technically they don't have to be bad. She basically makes one, or a few (no more than ten) people see what she wants them to see. Not illusions, because then everyone could see it, and she can actually extend it to touch if she's focused enough. She can be flown by Silvers, Crimsons, and maybe a Bronze. They can lay 15-45 eggs and will fly only once a turn, sometimes only once every two turns. Their riders become Junior Weyrwomen or
perhaps Senior if there is none. They are mature at two turns and three months, reaching full growth a bit before two turns. From Dorado Weyr.
Silver
Silvers are an odd male, larger than a Gold and smaller than a Cream, in that they will Impress anyone of any sexual preference or gender. They are shades of metallic gray, sometimes a dark silver, sometimes and almost white-silver. Though larger than most dragons, they are usually of a slimmer build with large wings that allow them to sometimes put on incredible bursts of speed - though that makes them tire easily. They usually have a high opinion of themselves. Their talent is that they can create fire wherever their teeth, claws, or tail touches. They can fly Creams, Golds, Coppers, Citrines, and Greens. They are mature at two turns but will be full grown at around a turn and nine months. From Dorado Weyr.
Copper
The smallest queen, they, like the silvers, are an oddity. They will Impress any gender of any sexual preference, as evidenced when the first Impressed V'rayn - a boy. They are a copper color, an almost red with a hint of gold. They have the power to control and create electricity within three meters of herself. She is generally less prideful than the larger queens and more laid back, not as obsessed with rank. Crimsons, Silvers, Bronzes, and Browns can fly them. They are on average the size of a small bronze, and lay between 5 and 30 eggs. She will fly once a turn. She reaches maturity at a turn and a half, and full size at around the same time. From Dorado Weyr.
Citrine
A mostly infertile female - mostly she will be fertile only once every five turns, and can fly up to four times a year. Mostly the time she is fertile is actually when she flies a bit earlier than usual - usually she will fly after it is possible for her eggs to be fertilized. She is an orange-yellow - she can be mostly orange with a hint of yellow, or mostly yellow with a hint of orange, and any shade of those two colors. She averages the size of a small brown, and Impresses heterosexual or bisexual females and homosexual males. She can make herself and anything non-stationary that she's touching invisible. If she did clutch it would be small, less than twenty egg. Like the green, they have no problem with other females being around them while they fly. They are mature at a turn and four months, and reach full size at approximately the same time. From Dorado Weyr.
Citrine
A new color, hatched at Crysanthemuth's first clutch. He is a firey orange and is a bit larger than the bronze, which is 50 feet long when fully grown. Little is known about them. Impresses males with leadership qualities. From Victory's End Weyr

Russet
Russets aren't actually any bigger than Blacks - they're the same size. Russets are a russet color, and orange brown of sorts, and male. Like the Black, before they find Theirs they will be highly unstable and may exhaust themselves trying to heal every injury on the Hatching Grounds - not so bad if they hatch early, but terrifying if they hatch later. They fly Blacks and Greens, and will Impress males of an sexual preference. They are mature at nine months, though some may not reach full size until a full turn. From Dorado Weyr.
Black
Blacks are very rare, thanks to the fact they need two mutant gene holding parents, like Russets. They are small, only a bit bigger than the fabled Ruth on average. They are black in color, and females. Like the citrines, they are mostly infertile, and fly actually a bit less than citrines - two or three times a year. Fertile clutches usually hold only small colors, though there is a higher possibility of a Black or Russet with them than with queens. They are highly telekinetic, dangerously so, and upon Hatching they are unstable, needing Theirs even more than other dragons, and will lash out and possibly kill candidates. They are extremely agile and though everything up to a Bronze will try and catch them, it is usually only the most agile who is able to keep up with them. Clutches they did have would be fifteen eggs or less. They only Impress females, though sexual preference does not matter. They are mature
at nine months, though some may not reach full size until a full turn. From Dorado Weyr
Iolite
A new color, hatched at Crysanthemuth's first clutch. She is a deep, blue-purple queen and is about the same size as a gold, which is 50-60 feet long when fully grown, perhaps a bit larger. Little is known about them. Impresses females with leadership qualities. From Victory's End Weyr
Quartzite
A new color, hatched at Crysanthemuth's first clutch. She is like pink granite, with specks and swirls of black, gray, and white mixed in with the pink hue of her hide. She is a bit larger than the brown, which is 40 feet long when fully grown. Little is known about them. Impresses females. From Victory's End Weyr
Rhyolite
A new color, hatched at Crysanthemuth's first clutch. One is a metallic, iridescent black and the other is the same, but white. The black one is male and the white is female. Impresses males or females, depending on gender. From Victory's End Weyr.

Ruby
A new color, hatched at Crysanthemuth's first clutch. A beautiful red color. She is about 30 feet when fully grown. She is very beautiful, some say more beautiful than the queens, but is also very, very arrogant. Impresses females. From Victory's End Weyr.
Tourmaline
A new color, hatched at Crysanthemuth's first clutch. The one that hatched was a bi-colored tourmaline, meaning it was both pink and green. About the size of a large blue. Impresses males. From Victory's End Weyr
